The central figure of the paintings that follow surprises us.

He is vigilant! He peers, he probes, he stands rigidly in wait, in the stance of one who will see and hear. From now on he turns his back to us. We can no longer gaze at his blank eye sockets, but we shall discover what is revealed to him.

The Fulfilment of the Laws? The Experience? Final Phase?

Will the Revelation that YATRIDES proposes to us take on prophetic dimensions? We are, admittedly, enthralled by the splendour of the spectacle, the mastery of the composition, but shall we agree to go further still?

Is the third abode, a space open to questions elsewhere forbidden? Indeed. But a place of revelations? Of miracles? Shall we agree to follow, in this adventurous undertaking, a painter who would contravene the principles on which precisely our confidence is based.

Let us first state that we are the witnesses (inquisitive?) of a revelation, if revelation it be. It is not addressed to us, the onlookers, but to the central figure in the canvas. If it is the painter himself, then he certainly functions as a mediator between what happens in the painting and ourselves. A mediator?

And why not a prophet? But there is something else...
